Favora

A typeface for how things move forward, how society makes progress, and how hope becomes action.

The two-weight display typeface channels the spirit of transformative moments. Named for a bold vision of the future, it strikes a powerful balance between commercial authority and utopian aspirations.

The type’s thicker weight is inspired by commercial and protest signage, large scale imprint posters, public announcement style. It’s thinner counterpart brings up sophisticated building signage, architectural engravings / metal, fancy invitations, advertising—committing to possible utopias.

In both cases, we’ve imbued the type with hope and optimism so the characters are a little dusty and feel a bit bright eyed in possibility. They promise of progress in work and society. This is a typeface that communicates trust in a better outcome.

Our visual samples dare to dream of a world in which climate action is widespread, and technologies that decarbonize are the norm in every home and public space. As the creative studio behind the typeface, we wanted to bring this typeface for hope into climate space.  We built joyful, colorful samples around ads for homewares like heat pumps and induction stovetops, as well as campaigns encouraging climate-rational behavior. As climate forces us to face the universal crisis of our time, Favora gives us a typeface to express a new hope for progress.

It’s perfect for optimistic identities, expressive packaging, and genuine, effortless messaging—as well as posters, billboards, apparel and digital displays that are instantly recognizable.
