Wizz is a streetwear brand identity project by In-House for an apparel brand retailing across parts of South America and the Caribbean.

Wizz is an apparel brand that retails in parts of South America and the Caribbean.

Featuring everything from hats and shorts to socks and t-shirts, the skater-look product line is aimed at the young and urban. The team of young entrepreneurs approached IH co-founder Alexander Wright as they were gearing up to launch their first line. They were looking for something fresh, clean, and fun… something that could look great in a tag, but could also be blown up for myriad other uses.

Our co-founder has been spotted in some skater hangouts in years past, so the ethos of the brand’s target customer was immediately understood. When doing first sketches, he kept coming back to the idea of the rat—an expressed element of the brand. While the clean lines of the reverse teardrop made up the shape of the face, something was missing.

Luckily, Alexander’s young daughter Alicia came to the rescue, coming up with an eyepatch that turned the icon into a PiRat (get it?). The idea was an immediate hit, and the logo was instantly adopted by the team.
